AiDLab and HKF&DA MoU Signing Ceremony
AiDLab and the undersigned parties have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership aimed at advancing artificial intelligence applications in furniture design. The signing ceremony took place on 18 July 2025 at AiDLab.
This collaboration marks a significant step for AiDLab, as it plans to develop an enhanced version of the AI-based Interactive Design Assistant for Fashion (AiDA) platform, which shall constitute an extension of the existing fashion design system with specialized functionality for furniture design applications.
Prof Calvin Wong, CEO & Centre Director of AiDLab signed the MoU with Mr. Allen Kwong, Chairman of the Hong Kong Furniture & Decoration Trade Association and along with representatives from five furniture companies: Profilia of West Germany (Far East) Ltd., JMS Group (Hong Kong) Limited, Grand Classic Ltd., Eravolution Limited and S&C Furniture Ltd. During the ceremony, Prof. Calvin Wong and Mr. Allen Kwong presented an overview of the collaboration and outlined the new initiatives.
