It is time consuming and challenging to optimise different design parameters when it comes to the design of functional clothing. In this presentation, Dr Joanne Yip will share her project as an example on how we will leverage AI to solve complex problems smarter and faster for achieving optimal design. And how these transferable skills may benefit the design of intimate apparel and activewear. |

Apart from just aesthetics and basic protection of the wearer, functional apparels are expected to perform multiple functions to enhance the performance of sportspersons by providing a high level of flexibility. The 4D Body Scanning System, which is able to capture the full 3D human body shape in motion, enabling the design of functional apparels with comfort in every movement more achievable. Attendees joining this live demonstration will get the chance to know the operation principle of the system and its usage. |
